Terms and Conditions of Use for the Accommodation Website of the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima

We recommend that the User carefully reads the Terms and Conditions of Use described below, before using or making any reservation through the website of the Shrine of Fatima. By acquiring a service on the website, we will assume that the User has read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions, without the need for any subsequent act or consent.

 

Terms and Conditions

  1. The Accommodation website includes a set of contents such as logos, texts, images, photos, audio and video materials, web design and software for online booking requests in the Shrine of Fatima.
  2. The intellectual property rights of this institutional website and all its contents are property of the Shrine of Fatima and are protected in the general law terms and by the national and international laws of intellectual property protection, copyright and related rights protection, as well as by the legislation of computer-related crimes.
  3. This website and the website contents – logos, texts, images, photos, audio and video materials, web design and software – cannot be copied, altered or distributed, without the express consent of the Shrine of Fatima and after a prior written request from the interested party.  
  4. The sharing of hyperlinks from the Accommodation website of the Shrine of Fatima to third-party websites is strictly forbidden.
  5. The copying, change, reproduction, exhibition, dissemination, distribution, transmission or use of the contents of this website implies on the part of the applicant party and after express written permission, the reference and identification of the source, that is: "Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima" or "Shrine of Fatima".
  6. The Shrine of Fatima reserves the right to take legal action against the authors of any unauthorized copying, reproduction, dissemination or commercial use, or any other misuse of the Accommodation website, rejecting any responsibility for any misuse of the website by third parties.
  7. The contents available at the Accommodation website of the Shrine of Fatima are destined for the sole and exclusive use of the pilgrims of Fatima, and this use is of their entire responsibility.
  8. The Shrine of Fatima reserves the right to make changes and corrections, suspend, interrupt or close the website when it deems appropriate, without the need for prior notice and for as long as deemed necessary, for any reasons, including but not limited to technical or administrative reasons, and we therefore disclaim all liability and responsibility.
  9. The user of the Accommodation website of the Shrine of Fatima undertakes not to perform any operations which may impair the functioning of the website, and not to access any area/account and its contents without the corresponding permission, test, evaluate or break the vulnerability of the installed safeguards.

 

Conditions of sale

  1. Making booking requests through the Accommodation website of the Shrine of Fatima, provides the User with the possibility of booking an accommodation, in a simple and effective way, comparing the prices of the different possibilities. The User must indicate the dates of arrival ("Check-in") and departure ("Check-out") through the booking request process and select "Booking". The booking request system will give the User information on the available accommodation units, the different types of rooms and the different accommodation options. The User must select the desired accommodation unit, room type and boarding regime. Any specific diet and details thereof must be communicated by the User through the Website, under the Special Requests section, when filling out the booking request form.
  2. By completing the booking request, the User is understood to have accepted these Terms and Conditions of Use, the conditions and characteristics of the accommodation, the services booked, prices, forms of payment, as well as the particular conditions of the "Special Requests" and any other additional written stipulations agreed upon between the User and the Shrine of Fatima during the booking process.
  3. During the processing of the booking request, the User will be asked for certain data to identify him/her ("Personal Data", such as identification and contact details), which will be collected and processed by the Department of Accommodation in strict compliance with the law and in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Policy.
  4. The User must be 18 years of age or older to make a booking request through the Accommodation website of the Shrine of Fatima. They must provide a valid email address that they have the right to access legitimately, as well as any other information necessary to complete the booking request process. The information provided must be up-to-date, complete and accurate. The Shrine of Fatima disclaims any responsibility for any false or fraudulent information that would be communicated by the User.
  5. The prices indicated in the booking request process, always correspond to the prices in force (VAT included).
  6. With the confirmation of the booking request data by the Department of Accommodation of the Shrine of Fatima, the User acquires the right to the services contracted with the Shrine of Fatima, under the terms and conditions described in the respective booking voucher.
  7. The User assumes full responsibility for possessing and/or obtaining the necessary documents (identification documents, permits and visas) to enter the country and/or locality where the Shrine of Fatima is located, and must look for this information himself/herself in due time before making the reservation. The Shrine of Fatima assumes no responsibility for any refusal to grant visas or authorization to enter the country to the User.
  8. Any booking request made through the Shrine's Accommodation Website can be freely changed or cancelled within a maximum of forty-eight hours before the arrival date. These changes must be made in writing and emailed to hospedagem@fatima.pt indicating the booking request number.
  9. In case the User has any complaint to submit, this can be done electronically sending the information to the Shrine's Department of Accommodation, located at Rua de Santa Isabel n. º360, 2495-424 FATIMA, through the email hospedagem@fatima.pt, or they may also use the Electronic Complaints Book.
  10. The above Terms and Conditions of Use shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with Portuguese law, and the User irrevocably accepts the jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts to settle any dispute arising from and/or related to the Terms and Conditions of Use of this Website.
  11. For the resolution of any disputes arising from the validity, conclusion, execution, non-fulfilment, termination or interpretation of the Contract, the District Court of Santarem has exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to the applicable mandatory legal rules. In case of dispute, the User may resort to the following Alternative Dispute Resolution Consumer Entity:
